What does God say about religion and politics?
Our Constitution was based on Christian laws. When the moral values of this Nation are crumbling, should religious leaders remain silent?
What I have tried to do with the information on this website is to research it and add it here in an organized manner hopefully making it easier for you to review. I have also added some videos for encouragement and some RSS feeds if you would like to get news updates. I believe it is essential for us as Christians to know God's will for us in government affairs. Our country is finally waking up to this and heeding the cause.

THE PAINTED CHURCH ON THE ISLAND OF HAWAII
This website was created for the purpose of encouraging pastors and churches to come out from behind closed doors in the matter of politics. The church must not remain silent about politics. America's freedom and the direction this country takes, depends on the leadership of the church. As they take this bold stand, pastors need to know there is a support system for them. Pastors need to know their rights and understand their obligations. This website provides Christian resources that offer guidance to the church, showing them how they can be a voice again in the community and the nation. Our churches have been forced to keep silent about politics for way too long. Let's begin to free them now.
A MESSAGE TO THE CHURCH FAMILY
We can't let the enemy divide us. We are all one in the Lord. Let's not define ourselves in relation to a political party. We are brothers and sisters in the family of God. As Bible believing Christians, we are given the truth. Our purpose is to bring out the truth, expose any misconceptions and do as we were commanded, being "The salt and light of the earth." If we remain divided, the enemy succeeds and we will have lost our focus. How can we achieve the Lord's will and remain divided? Let's lovingly come together, talk and share. We cannot do the will of the Lord being a family of believers, living in a house divided.
DO YOU UNDERSTAND THE BIBLICAL PERSPECTIVE OF GOVERNMENT SO YOU CAN DEFEND RELIGIOUS FREEDOM?
"As the church goes, so does the Nation." This quote by Mike Winther, who teaches the class, "The Biblical Principles of Government," is so true. Did you know that our founders adopted their ideas for our constitution from their colonial pastors? Those pastors talked quite frequently from the pulpit on government affairs. If we are going to remain a free country and a free people, we must get back to our biblical roots. This needs to begin with educating ourselves about what the Bible says about government affairs. Until we do, we cannot truly defend our nation.

Who were, "The Black Robe Regiment" and why were they called by that name? During the Founding Era, the British referred to these American clergy by this name citing the black robes they wore and the involvement they had in the fight for America's freedom. The British blamed these courageous and patriotic clergy known as, "The Black Robe Regiment," for the significant role they played in America's independence. Modern historians have documented that, "There is not a right asserted in the Declaration of Independence which had not been discussed by the New England clergy before 1763." You can learn more about, "The Black Robe Regiment," by clicking on the link. You will also find sermons to read from that era and learn about, "Take the Pledge." David Barton, Founder and President of Wall Builders, presents a short video on this topic that you are sure to find interesting. As you explore the Wall Builder's website, you will also find resources to share with your congregation.

"PASTORS, PULPITS AND POLITICS: Christian Rules for Engagement."
Coral Ridge Ministries presents, "Pastors, Pulpits and Politics: Christian Rules of Engagement." Pastors and laymen are often unclear about what the Bible (and the federal government) say about speaking out on cultural and political issues. "Pastors, Pulpits and Politics: Christian Rules for Engagement," offers answers and outlines rules for political Christian involvement. In this Webcast, you will find answers to questions like: "Does the Bible allow Christians to engage in political and social activism?" "What do IRS regulations allow churches and nonprofit organizations to do?"
ADOPT A CHURCH
What is "Adopt a Church?" It is a way to support pastors and churches by making them aware of the different organizations working on their behalf to bring an end to their being silenced from the pulpit concerning government affairs. These organizations believe it is a God given duty and a constitutional right to speak to the people of the congregation and give them direction in the matters of politics.
"Adopt A Church" purchased books written on the topic of Christians and politics to give out to the pastor of a church. Along with these books, is a DVD and a bookmark with the information about this website. At this website, a pastor has the available information needed to find the support and encouragement he or she needs to take a stand for God and support family values in politics. By Adopting a Church, you can help a pastor know there is support for him and where to find it. You can also begin a group at church called,
